Outdoor Triggers
Pollen, grass, and trees.
Indoor Triggers
Mold, dust mites, cockroaches, rodent dander, cats, and dogs.
Food Triggers
Milk, egg, wheat, soy, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, and shellfish.
Symptoms
Fatigue, headache, runny or stuffy nose, itchy or watery eyes, sneezing, itchy rash, abdominal pain, vomiting, and diarrhea.
Testing
Our clinic can perform skin testing on more than 60 allergens. A skin-prick test places a tiny drop of liquid allergen on the skin and observes the area for about 15 minutes.
Treatment
Allergy shots can help the body develop resistance and tolerance. The build-up phase may involve injections one to three times per week for three to six months. During maintenance, injections generally range from one to two times per month.
